I ordered the 19” ostrich leg bone for our blue heeler. He destroys toys in minutes sometimes, and we have to be careful about rawhide because it can cause blockages. But this bone is perfect! He immediately carried it off to chew on, and spent an hour happily gnawing on it. I took it away after a while, and this morning he was giving me his herding stare until I realized he wanted his bone. He’s chewing on it right now. It didn’t stain the carpet like dyed bones do. It doesn’t shatter or break. And evidently it tastes delicious (I didn’t taste it). I’m very pleased with my purchase and plan to get a couple of smaller ones for Christmas presents for the smaller dogs in our family.
My dog has been gnawing on this for a little over a week and loves it. I've not seen any pieces come off that I think would pose a danger to her. I let her have it for about 30 minutes at a time. Great product!
Wrigley is very thankful and happy that I found your store. He absolutely LOVES his ostrich bone and it definitely keeps him occupied. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future and looking into your other products as well!!
Love it! My 8 month old PitShepSky mix is a super chewer. We have tried every type of bone, chew, yak chew, antler, etc… and everything is demolished within minutes. We are currently on day seven of his ostrich leg bone and still going strong. This has been his absolute favorite treat and the longest lasting by far. Highly recommend!
Unemployed Lloyd loves this so much! He's been chewing on it for a couple weeks and has not lost interest or destroyed it. It doesn't splinter and keeps him busy for hours. At one point he accidentally pushed it under the sofa and he was beside himself trying to get to it! This is by far the best thing we've found for him to chew on safely that lasts for a long time. Will be ordering more of your ostrich items! Lloyd thanks you and so do we!
Ostrich long bone for my boy. This is the second one for us and we are fans. Bull here, is a super chewer but has a very sensitive stomach. This bone keeps him busy for hours, yes hours. And his tummy is happy. And so am I. Thank you Savannah! I'll be ordering more soon.
The dogs couldn’t believe how big these bones were when I handed them to them! It took them a few minutes to figure out what to do with them and then it was game on!
My old girl, Bella, is almost 14. She's a black mouth cur who's all white in the face now. That doesn't mean she isn't interested in chewing and treats though! So, I bought it to help her scrape her teeth, get some good chewing in and enjoy a special treat. She has great bite power but she's not cracked it try. She's more shredding it strip by step. She loves it. Her little brother has illusions of grandeur and also got into the action of chewing. Low odor, excellent chew and entertainment for the pups young and old.
Cosmo seems to really enjoy this long bone. He incinerates a bully stick in 5-10 minutes. This seems to keep him busy…and when he’s tired he will walk away, but as of now, he keeps coming back for more. He strips it first and then the knawing begins.
My dog LOVES these Ostrich femurs! He chews it for HOURS and DAYS. He chews thing everything else within minutes!!! Love this product-highly recommend!
Abu pounced right on this as soon as I opened the package and didn’t get up for an hour. It’s now sitting in a place of honor next to his bed where it’s easy to reach
As you can see my dog is very protective of her bone! She has one paw on it as if to say: "Try taking this from me!" She has chronic pancreatitis and these bones are great for her as they are very low fat. Her teeth are white and her breath is wonderful after she gnaws in these. 10 out of 10 for these ostrich bones!
Rocco loves this bone. He was so excited to get it and he spent an hour chewing before he even looked up. There’s still plenty of chewing left and he will enjoy it for many more hours, I am certain.
Our Fox Red Lab, Cash, is almost one year old and has absolutely obliterated every type of bone we have tried with him in minutes. Yesterday, he received his ostrich bone and was so excited. He spent most of the afternoon with it and it hasn't been destroyed. He loved it so much I immediately signed up for a subscription. I can't recommend this enough for dogs who destroy everything else.
Store owner replied:
Cash, you met your match! 🦴😄 We LOVE hearing this — a Fox Red Lab who obliterates everything finally spending an afternoon with a bone that holds its own? That's exactly what the Ostrich Long Bone was built for. Ostrich bone is incredibly dense and durable, making it the ultimate challenge for powerful chewers like Cash. And the fact that he was so hooked you signed up for a subscription on the spot? We're honored! 🙌 Welcome to the Savannah Pet Food family, Jen — Cash is going to love what's coming. 🐾🦒
This is Wilma with her long bone! She (55 lb AmStaf/APBT) had surgery 8 weeks ago and she still has 4 more weeks of recovery so she's cooped up until then. We got this bone to keep her busy. Here she is with it on the first day. It's one week later and it pretty much looks the same so mission accomplished!
Store owner replied:
Wow, Anna! That’s amazing, 11 rescue pups with such a range of sizes, and they all love their ostrich bones! Sounds like you’ve found a treat that truly unites the whole pack. 🐾❤️
Frankie is a fan of the ostrich bone! It keeps her busy, and I like the fact that it’s not smoked.
Store owner replied:
That’s wonderful to hear, Paula! We’re so glad Frankie is enjoying her ostrich bone - and yes, the natural, unsmoked quality makes it a great, worry-free chew. Thanks for sharing her experience with us!
Great quality bone!
Super fast shipping!!
One happy dog!!!
Store owner replied:
Aww, Freyja’s first ostrich bone! 🦴💛 We’re so happy to hear it’s a winner for her - sounds like she’s officially joined the Savannah family! Thanks so much for sharing, John.
Lasts so much longer than anything else, he loves it, and no splinters!
Store owner replied:
We love hearing that, Kristina! Thank you for trusting us with your pups chewing needs - safety and tastiness are our top priorities!
Thank goodness I have “discovered” these bones! My super chewer is prone to pancreatitis so I needed a low fat option for her. Additionally, chewing is one of the only ways she can really manage some of her anxiety. This long bone lasts a good 3 to 4 days, which is 3 to 4 days longer than any beef bone I used to give her. We are so pleased!
Store owner replied:
We’re thrilled to hear your super chewer is enjoying the Ostrich Long Bone! 🐾 It’s wonderful that it provides both a safe, low-fat option and a fun way to help manage her anxiety. Thank you for sharing your experience!
