At Savannah Pet Food, we do things differently—because your dog deserves better.
We believe every pup should enjoy delicious, hypoallergenic treats that are as healthy as they are satisfying. That’s why we use only one ingredient: ethically sourced, air-dried ostrich meat.

Born on the Farm. Perfected in the USA.
Our story starts in South Africa, where we’ve farmed ostriches for over 30 years using sustainable, humane practices. Raised on open alfalfa pastures—without corn, soy, or wheat—our birds are carefully tended every step of the way.
Once harvested, the treats are gently air-dried, then air-freighted to the U.S., where they’re inspected and packed in our South Dakota warehouse for fast, nationwide delivery.
Why Ostrich?
Ostrich is a lean, novel protein that’s ideal for dogs with allergies or sensitive stomachs. It’s high in iron, low in fat, and easier to digest than traditional meats like beef or chicken.
Our bones and chews offer a long-lasting, satisfying crunch—perfect for everything from gentle nibblers to serious power chewers.
We also offer functional treats infused with dog-friendly superfoods like beetroot, butternut, mango, grapefruit, rooibos, and buchu to support digestion, immunity, and overall vitality.

Our Chief Product Officer, Max the Aussiedoodle, personally taste-tests every chew before it hits your doorstep. He takes his job seriously (as long as there’s nap time after).

From a South African farm to thousands of happy dogs across America.
1995 – Began ostrich processing and distribution in South Africa, exporting to the USA, Europe, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore.
2013 – Relocated to the USA, bringing decades of ostrich farming and international distribution experience.
2023 – Launched Savannah Pet Food's direct-to-consumer store to bring premium treats straight to dog owners.
2024 – Introduced 100% recyclable packaging made from recycled materials and launched our 180-Day Tail Wag Guarantee.
